THE CARROT PANIC BUY
A growing group of Facebook users in Britain is planning to "panic buy" carrots at 2pm May 16th as a just for fun practical joke. Student Freya Valentine, who created the original site, insists it is all just a bit of fun. "We know we're not going to cause a massive world-wide shortage," she said.
"To the carroty people who are saying this could never happen - maybe you should be thankful for the imminent rise we are probably going to make it your profits on May 15." Carrot growers say "Bring it on." There is a good side to the panic buy, members plan to turn panic-bought carrots into soups and other carrot-related dishes, and deliver their produce to the needy and homeless.

Nathen Smith stole a Salvation Army Kettle while a bell ringer in Painesville, Ohio. A judge decided that Nathen would learn a valuable lesson and required him to be homeless for a night. THEY WALK AMONG US.........

Here's one that's made the rounds, but you could work it into a bit:

They Walk Among Us and Many Work RetailI
I was at the checkout of a K-Mart. The clerk rang up $46.64 charge. I Gave her a fifty dollar bill. She gave me back $46.64. I gave the money back to her and told her that she had made a mistake in MY favor. She became indignant and informed me she was Educated and knew what she was doing, and returned the money again. I gave her the Money back .same scenario! I departed the store with the $46.64.

They Walk Among Us and Many Work Retail
I walked into a Starbucks with a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a Grande Latte. I handed it to the girl and she looked over at a little chalkboard that said 'buy one-get one free.' 'They're already buy-one-get-one-free,' she said, 'so I guess they're both free'She Handed me my free Lattes and I walked out the door.

They Walk Among Us!
One day I was walking down the beach with some Friends when one of them shouted, 'Look at that dead bird!' Someone looked Up at the sky and said, 'Where'?

They Walk Among Us!
While looking at a house, my brother asked the real Estate agent which direction was north because, he explained, he didn't want the sun waking him up every morning. She asked, 'Does the sun rise in the north?' When my brother explained that the sun rises in the East, and has for sometime, she shook her head and said, 'Oh I don't keep up with all that stuff.

'They Walk Among Us!!
I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center. One day I got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call center was open. I told him, 'The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.' He responded, 'Is that Eastern o r Pacific time?' Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, 'Uh, Pacific.'

They Walk Among Us!
My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car designed to cut through a seat belt if she gets trapped. She keeps it in the trunk. They Walk Among Us!My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed that the cases were discounted 10%. Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases. The cashier multiplied 2 times 10% and gave us a 20% discount.

They Walk Among Us!
I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area, so I went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because she was a trained professional and I was in good hands. 'Now,' she asked me, has your plane arrived yet?'

They Walk Among Us!
While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man Ordering a small pizza to go. He appeared to be alone and the cook asked Him if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some time before responding. 'Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces.'

TOP MORONS OF 2007 (just in..)

1. WILL THE REAL DUMMY PLEASE STAND UP? AT&T fired President John Walter after nine months, saying he lacked i ntellectual leader ship. He received a $26 million severance package. Perhaps it's not Walter who's lacking intelligence.

2. WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS: Police in Oakland, CA spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them in the police lin e, shouting, "Pleas e come out and give yourself up."

3. WHAT WAS PLAN B??? An Illinois man, pretending to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different automated teller machines, wherein the kidnapper proceeded to withdraw money from his own bank accounts.

4. THE GETAWAY! A man walked into a Topeka, Kansas Kwik Stop and asked for all the money in the cash drawer. Apparently, the ta ke was too sma ll, so he tied up the store clerk and worked the counter himself for three hours until police showed up and grabbed him.

5. DID I SAY THAT??? Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn't control himself during a l ineup. Whe n detectives aske d each man in the lineup to repeat the words: "Give me all your money or I'll shoot", the man shouted, "that's not what I said!" .

6. ARE WE COMMUNICATING??? A man spoke frantically into the phone: "My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart". "Is this her first child?" the doctor asked. "No!" the man shouted, "This is her husband!"

7. NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED! In Modesto, CA, Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to hold up a Bank of America branch without a weapon. King used a thumb and a finger to simulate a gun. Unfortunately, he failed to keep his hand in his pocket. (hellooooooo)!

8. THE GRAND FINALE!!! Last summer, down on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert, an hour east of Bakersfield, CA, some folks, new to boating, were having a problem. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get their brand new 22 foot boat, going. It was very sluggish in almost every maneuver, no matter how much power they applied. After about an hour of trying to make it go, they putted into a nearby marina, thinking someone there may be able to tell them what was wrong. A thorough topside check revealed everything in perfect working condition The engine ran fine, the out-drive went up and down, and the propeller was the correct size and pitch. So, one of the marina guys jumped in the water to check underneath He came up choking on water, he was laughing so hard. NOW REMEMBER...THIS IS TRUE. Under the boat, still strapped securely in place, was the trailer!

$12,000 IN COLD CASH.............
Sometimes old moldy things in your refridgerator can be good... Colleen and Jim MEsler in Janesville Wisconsin thought it was a package of old meat and were about to throw out the leftovers from a fridge in an apartment they moved into. It ended up being around $12K in cash, frozen. The couple spent the afternoon warming the bills in the oven and separating them with tweezers. The proceeds could be illegal drug money left behind by previous renters who were busted on drug charges. If proven the money goes to the state. If not the Meslers will get it. Fingers are crossed.

FROG ON A HARLEY PREDICTS WINNING LOTTO NUMBERS
It just doesn't get any better than this....A Thai woman claims her pet frog enjoys riding toy motorcycles and can predict winning lottery numbers. Tongsai Boommrungtai believes she can communicate with Nong Oui, her blac spotted frog. "The frog had a small chick in its mouth," she said. "I looked her straight in the eye and knew I could communicate with her. I told her to drop the chick and she did and then came hopping in. Elders now stop by to read the skin on Nong Uoi's stomach and look for numbers. "Ten people subsequently won the lottery which drew crowds to the house - and then they started losing. So I have had to ground her. I promised one day to take her to the seaside, and her dream has come true. "There is nothing more that she likes than to chill out on her toy Harley-Davison, or a battery operated dumper truck. But she can strike a pose just about anywhere."

Since most people are right-handed, the holes on men's clothes have buttons on the right - to make it easier for men to push them through the holes. Well, that's easy, but aren't women mostly right-handed too? Women's buttons are on the OPPOSITE side so their maids can dress them. When buttons were first used, they were expensive and only wealthy women had them. Since a maid faces the woman she is dressing, having the buttons on the left of the dress places them on the maid's right.

SPEEDING CAMERA MISTAKE.....
Note to self...If I get caught by a speed camera and chop it down and bury it in a field, be sure to destroy it so that pictures of myself are NOT on the tape. Two Austrian teenagers have been fined 75,000 pounds ($100,000) for hacking down and burying a roadside speed camera. Peter Hochstacher and Thomas Moebel, both 19, were snapped by the camera speeding in the town of Lustenau in Austria. They used a pair of axes and a saw they had with them in their car to chop it down and then buried it in a nearby field. But the box was found by a local farmer as he ploughed his land and police who examined it found pictures of the pair on the camera inside and they later confessed to tearing down the device.

YOU EAT TOO MUCH
Ricky Labit's a good eaer. Apparently too goo for the Manchuria restaraunt. Ricky says the restaurant overcharged him, then banned he and a relative because they atea lot when they came. Ricky is 6' 5" and 270. A waitress gave him and his wife's cousin, 44-year-old Michael Borrelli, a bill for $46.40, roughly double the buffet price for two adults."She says, 'Y'all fat, and y'all eat too much,'" Labit said. Police had to be called to work out he situation. The police report states, "The incident was settled when the management advised that the bill was a mistake and, to appease Ricky, the meal was complimentary."
Labit said he insisted on paying but was told not to come back. He complained that when seafood on the buffet line runs out, the restaurant only grudgingly cooks more.
