WHALE ART
A Beluga whale is making a big splash as an artist after picking up a paintbrush at an oceanarium in China. "He showed a lot of interest in painting right from the start so now all we have to do is give him the brushes and hold the paper while he paints with his mouth," said trainer Zhang Yong. Now the seven year old star's paintings are changing hands for hundreds among fans.

DEAD MAYOR
Carl Geary died a month ago from a heart attack as he campaigned to be elected as mayor in Tracy City, Tennessee. He still pulled in 3 times the votes of his nearesy rival. Local business owners said the vote to elect Geary was as a protest against the current mayor, Barbara Brock.

Tanner Sandlin of Austin, Texas, read an article on CNN.com about a rare video game from Atari: “Air Raid” for the Atari 2600. He realized he had a copy and found it in his garage then pput it up on EBAY. It sold for over $31,000 !!! The second-highest price ever paid for a video game. Sandlin said he paid between $5 and $10 for the game in the mid-1980s

SPLIT UP TIME
Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have split after a year of dating, a source tells UsMagazine.com. The source tells Us that the two, who met on the set of Edge of Darkness, called it quits "months ago." "No one dumped anyone," the source says. "It's all very friendly." Gibson and Grigorieva, a Russian musician, are parents to a 5-month-old daughter, Lucia.
Melissa and Tammy Etheridge have ended their nearly nine-year relationship. "Melissa and Tammy Etheridge are saddened to announce that they are now separated."
